Garlic Honey Parmesan Broccoli BBQ Side

Smoky grilled broccoli coated in garlic honey glaze and finished with Parmesan cheese for an easy BBQ side dish.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 large head broccoli cut into florets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice optional but recommended

Method
 

  1. eheat grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil grates.
  2. Toss broccoli florets with olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Place broccoli on grill and cook for about 6–8 minutes, turning occasionally until lightly charred.
  4. In a small bowl, mix honey and soy sauce together.
  5. Brush glaze onto broccoli during the last 2–3 minutes of grilling.
  6. Remove from grill and immediately sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and lemon juice before serving.

Notes

Best eaten fresh off the grill while edges are still crisp. Don’t add honey too early or it will burn. If using a grill pan, keep heat medium to avoid scorching. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge up to 2 days and reheated in a pan, not microwave, for better texture.
