Easy Cajun Spice Mix for Chicken and Veggies

A quick homemade Cajun spice mix made with simple pantry spices to add bold, smoky heat to any dish.

Servings: 1 cup

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp cayenne pepper adjust for heat
  • 1 tsp salt optional, adjust or skip if needed

Method
 

  1. Add all spices into a small bowl or jar.
  2. Stir or shake well until fully combined and evenly mixed.
  3. Taste a tiny pinch and adjust cayenne or salt if needed.
  4. Store in an airtight container away from heat and light.

Notes

Lasts up to 6 months if stored properly. Adjust cayenne based on your heat tolerance. Works great on chicken, shrimp, potatoes, rice, and vegetables. If you prefer lower sodium, skip salt and add it separately when cooking.
